@Sooner that sounds good!

Our local market usually has a bag of ripe bananas for 99 cents.  I'll either mash them up and mix into 'banana bread' oatmeal or I'll slice and freeze them for smoothies.

@Knit-Chick I bought a new Cuisinart ice cream freezer at the start of summer and now we use it twice a week at least.  Husband says it is a miracle.

I think so too because we both are getting more calcium and some really good treats for very little sugar or fat!  And it IS good! Woman Very Happy

@Sooner thank you for the info!  I really need to cut back on sugar - it's so hard!  This sounds like something that would help Smiley Happy

@Knit-Chick Thanks for letting me know that you are pleased with your new Cuisinart Ice Cream maker.Have been thinking of that make for a Christmas gift this year .I think it is very important to watch  what you are eating and if you can make it healthier and tasty it   sounds like  you are. Especially hearing  your husband is calling it a miracle you sold me for sure in buying that brand and leave the hype one that everyone was buying behind in my search.

Nightowiz is absolutely right.I have done this and it works perfectly. I wanted to make banana bread but didn't want to wait forever. And most recently I had zuchini from the garden and I googled zucchini banana bread. I made it twice it was delicious and very moist. My wife took some to work and everyone loved it.f anyone wants the recipe I will gladly put it up. I find allso that I peal bananas and put them on a plate and freeze them then I slice them and put them in a freezer bag and if you put frozen banana slices in the food processor it makes a great healthy version of banana ice cream. Its really good.
