I check into the Q Forum every few days and always see the Pot Sticker Soup blog under Recipes that goes back to the year 2015. I can't help but wonder why the Q allows anything here to get to 1,694 pages. Seems like it's time to start a new post unless you just skip to the last page. JMO.

@jannabelle1  I agree.  If you do want to go to the last page, it takes you forever.  I've tried to do that before and gave up.

The duration of the thread in question has no bearing on my opinion of it. I thoroughly disagree, however, with the burying of recipes inside it. I know it’s not a private conversation, that anyone can read or participate and that the invitation to do such has been extended. Nonetheless, it must also be acknowledged that the perception is of a clique which, whether intentional or not, precludes the sharing of recipes.

@IamMrsG

Mmmmmmm, well I'm sorry you feel that way. I personally don't feel we are "clique-ish" at all but you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

Per Webster:

clique

noun

  1. a small group of people, with shared interests or other features in common, who spend time together and do not readily allow others to join them.

    BTW, this is NOT the Potsticker group AT ALL IMO!

Ladies, I think what was set out to be accomplished has been to some extent-notice the OP has not revisited her thread.

I am sorry if others feel we are cliquish.  Not sure how to get around that as we all seem to welcome new posters and encourage any and all to join in.

As far as starting a new thread for recipes that we share in the Pot Sticker thread, the majority of recipes are at the request of someone in that thread asking a question about it or in conjunction with conversation that we are having i.e. when I was remarking about an infestation of tree frogs we were having in our yard and @ChiliPepper came up with a Tree Frog Cocktail for me and my DH to enjoy as we sat out on our deck listening to the frogs.  No one is trying to keep anything secret and all are welcome to check the thread daily even if they don't want to join, and check to see if new recipes have been shared.  The recipes seem to come more from the flow of conversation.  Sorry if this offends anyone.

Now I will stop posting to this thread because I feel someone is enjoying what is going on here.

For those who have a problem getting to the last post in a thread, my index page (list of all threads in the category) has the subject on the far left, some other info in between, and the "Last Post" on the far right.  Shown below (not the stuff in between).  If you click on the date and time on the far right, it will take you immediately to the last post in the thread.  I have no idea how to set it up this way if it doesn't look like this for you, mine was just this way from the getgo.  If it can be set up manually, @dooBdoo can probably tell you how.

Oh, good grief .....   I've never participated in that thread, but I'm guessing it's safe to assume that they all have said everything there is to say about pot stickers.  LOL

@KatieB@jannabelle1

          The solution isn't to limit the size of a thread.    The solution is to learn how to navigate the forums (and I promise I don't mean that in a snarky way...  we have so many options now, and some of them are not intuitive).

          To go directly to the latest post on a thread, if you've already chosen a subforum like "Recipes" you'll see the latest post date/time in the far right column of the thread list.   (The date/time format will either be "Relative," such as 5 minutes ago, or "Absolute," such as 1-26-17 6:30 PM, selected in our "Preferences" under "Display.")

          Click/tap on that date/time.   Here's an example:

Choose latest post

________________________________________

          If you've decided, instead, to click on the thread title, then simply click/tap the number immediately preceding the word "Next" at the top of the open thread.   This takes you directly to the last page in the thread.   Example:

Choose last page

          @kittymomNC,  I love that we both have little gray Rosie's in our life!   Mine has a bright white snowdrop on her nose.
