Looks yummy ......  Is pink sanding sugar different from regular pink sugar?

@Tinkrbl44  - yes, but I think you can use whatever you can find. Do a google search for it and it will help you to find a local store or you can order it for delivery.

This is at my local Target store:

Pink sanding sugar adds texture and sparkle to cookies, cakes, and candies using our colored sugars. It's slightly more coarse than granulated sugar. Sanding sugar bakes onto cookies without melting, perfect for all your holiday baking!

@ValuSkr - yes, you can certainly leave out the coconut. Just roll the balls in powdered sugar

You know I was just thinking  if you didn't like coconut maybe you could use chopped nuts?    My husband loved these as is.   My son insists he does not like coconut but he loved them too.   Today I made some Bailey's balls [ for the adults]

I tested them and they are so yummy too.   Thanks again @Chi-town girl  for the yummy recipes!   Hope you have a very wonderful Holiday.
