I found this recipe in a cookbook. I collect cook books. I loved the title and had to share.

2 C instant grits 1/4 C butter

chicken broth according to the liquid needed for pkg. cooking instructions.

Cook grits according to package using chicken broth instead of water. Stir in butter and remove from heat.

2 (3.5-oz.) pkgs sliced mushrooms 2 shallots, peeled and minced

1 lb hot sausage or zesty Italian 2 T. olive oil

sausage, cooked and drained 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

2 garlic cloves, minced 1 C Parmesan cheese

Saute sliced mushrooms, garlic and shallots in hot oil in skillet 1 minute. Add to grits mixture and stir in cooked sausage, pepper and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle top with more Parmesan cheese
