I got the Geoffrey Zakarian skillet. Planning on making his spaghetti recipe. Watched the video, searched the net, but can't figure out the ratio of water to pasta he uses in this recipe.
If anyone can tell me the ratio of water to pasta or where to find this recipe, I'd be most grateful!
Thanx!![]()

not sure of what you are asking but when I cook pasta I fill up a pot and let it boil and put in the noodles, I don't think there is a "ratio". although I did hear a TV cook say years ago the pasta/noodles should have enough water to move in
so you wouldn't fill up a gallon pot for a cup of pasta, but you wouldn't cook a cup of pasta in a 1.5 of water

I'm just wondering how uch water he put in the skillet when he cooked the pasta in the electric skillet - he put in just the right amount of water so that the past would cook and he didn't have to drain the skillet. He didn't give the amount of water he used. But, thanks for trying to help me.

I was gifted and love the.....pasta cooking tray (oblong box) ... for the microwave. Wonderful - no standing and stirring at the stove. Plop pasta in tray - fill water to measurement level on tray and microwave for 10 mins or according to directions. And just walk away.
After I got mine think I saw where Rachael Ray has one.
(does elbow or any small pasta you need)
***** 5 stars

when the original ninja cookers came out, there was a recipe where you cooked the pasta in the sauce+water, no draining.
the recipe was 1 24oz. spagetti sauce+4cups of water+1lb. box of pasta(i use the pan size spagetti) cook for about 30mins. stir several times. I usually have to add a little more water, toward the end. Recipe calls for bag of frozen meatballs added at the begining.

@10sluvr I use the Ninja recipe often, adding a can of petite diced tomatoes to keep it from drying out. It perks up the tomato flavor too. 🍅

I found this lovely video from Donal Skehan. His recipe looks very similar, but it's put together a little differently.
He uses 2 1/2 cups water or chicken stock.
