Quick & Easy Red Beans & Rice

Here's a side dish for the Cajun meatloaf I posted earlier:

Quick & Easy Red Beans & Rice

2 tbs. butter
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
2 cans red beans (15 oz.)
1/2 lb. cooked sausage, gut into 1/2" slices
1 can tomato sauce (8 oz.)
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
3 cups hot, cooked rice

Melt butter in a large, heavy skillet, then add onion, green pepper, and celery. Sizzle on medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Add beans, sausage, tomato sauce, Worcestershire, red pepper, and hot pepper sauce. Stir together, cover, then reduce heat. Simmer for 16 minutes. Serve beans over rice.
