Quick & Easy Chili Mac-Old Standby supper

This is an old favorite that always tastes good, for a fast, easy supper on busy days.

Quick & Easy Chili Mac

1 pound lean ground beef

½ cup dried elbow noodles

1-15 oz. can red kidney beans, rinsed & drained

¾ cup chopped onion

1-8 oz can tomato sauce

1-14.5 oz can diced tomatoes, untrained

1-4oz can diced green chile pepper, drained

2-3 tsp. chili powder

½ tsp. garlic salt

½ -1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

In a large skillet, cook ground beef & onion over medium-high heat until meat is browned, breaking up meat as it cooks. Drain off fat.

Stir in drained beans, un-drained tomatoes, tomato sauce, dried macaroni, drained chile peppers, chili powder, and garlic salt. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover, simmer about 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.

Sprinkle meat mixture with cheese. Cover and let stand 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Makes 6 servings.
