Quick Strawberry Shortcake Fix - 3 Ingredients

If you have a taste for it, this might do until you can get the real thing.

 

store bought pound cake

fresh strawberries, sliced

Reddi Wip ( I prefer to Cool Whip)

 

*slice pound cake ( I used 2 slices because I wanted to stack them; a single slice would work too)

*layer of whipped cream and strawberries

*second slice on top

*final layer of whipped cream and strawberries

 

I did not add any sugar to the strawberries.  The pound cake was sweet enough.  I made single servings each time so they were really fresh.

 

ETA: Not sure I was clear. I like Redi Wip better than Cool

Whip because it is a real dairy product.

Sounds great...I make a 4th of July pan cake like that. I just keep it red, white, and blue....strawberries, cream, and blueberries.
I decorate the top with cool whip, and fresh whipped cream, then arrange the berries like the American Flag😃
