Quick Snack for a different Take-Along

Posted this several years ago here, but have made it many times already this summer. Thought it was worth a repeat. Easy and addictive! Search Herb Seasoned Cheese Bits if this is jumbled from my IPad ......... 2 (10.5 oz.) boxes Ritz Cheese Bits - not peanut butter flavor... 1/2 cup vegetable oil... 1-oz. package Hidden Valley Original Ranch dressing mix... 1 heaping TBL dried dill.... 1 teas. garlic powder... 1 teas. celery salt... Place crackers in a large sealable container or large ZipLoc bag In a bowl, mix the oil, salad dressing mix, dill, garlic powder, and celery salt. Pour this mixture over the crackers, zip the bag and carefully flip-flop to coat the crackers, with seasoning. Refrigerate at least 24 hours, turning the container every so often to keep the crackers coated. Let the mixture come to room temperature before serving. Store in the container in refrigerator. Having made these several times, I can tell you they never make it to the refrigerator and certainly don't "marinate" 24 hours. Several hours and several turns are about it, then they're gone. Enjoy.

I've made this with Rice/Corn Chex. Gotta be better with Cheese crackers!

Re: Quick Snack for a different Take-Along

Zhillis, I have not tried the Chex variety, but have used tiny pretzels or oyster crackers with the same seasoning. Those versions both require baking, so when I found this one several years ago that marinates/seasons in the refrigerator, it became my go -to and our family really likes it. Thanks for the suggestion.
