In fact the last party, everyone just loved this red white and blue fruit salad! The fruit salad glaze is what everyone always wants the recipe for. Don’t leave it off because it is amazing. This is one of our most favorite dessert recipes for the 4th.

 

Red, White, and Blue Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Strawberries (cleaned and cut in half)
  • 1 pint Blueberries (rinsed)
  • 3 bananas (sliced in thick chunks)
  • 1/8 cup honey
  • 1 lime juiced

Instructions

  • Wash and cut all your fruit.
  • Combine in a bowl.
  • In a small bowl whisk together the honey and freshly squeezed lime juice.
  • Drizzle the honey lime glaze over the fruit and stir slightly to coat.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate.
 

Notes

You can store in the refrigerate for a few hours but I recommend serving this fruit salad immediately after making.

Fourth of July Garlic-Jalapeño Dip

 

 

FOURTH OF JULY GARLIC-JALAPEÑO DIP


The perfect centerpiece for your July 4th buffet, this flag-inspired appetizer is loaded
with flavor courtesy of pickled peppers, caramelized garlic, and sharp Cheddar.

Ingredients
> 8 cloves garlic, very finely minced
> 2 tbsp olive oil
> 3/4 cup sliced pickled jalapenos, drained
> 4 oz extra-sharp white Cheddar cheese, coarsely grated
> 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
> 1 (32 oz) container nonfat plain Greek yogurt
> 1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips, plus more for dipping
> 1/2 cup blue tortilla chips, plus more for dipping


For Dipping:
> Carrot sticks
> Celery sticks


Steps


1 To an 8-inch skillet, add the garlic and oil. Cook on medium-low 5 min., until
golden brown, stirring often. Set aside and let cool completely.
2 Meanwhile, in a food processor, pulse the jalapeños until very finely chopped.
Add the Cheddar, cream cheese, and yogurt. Pulse to combine, stopping and
scraping side of bowl occasionally. Pulse in garlic oil. Season with salt to taste.
3 Transfer dip to a rectangular dish and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate at
least 3 hours or overnight. Arrange the pepper strips in rows across dip. Pile the
chips in the upper left-hand corner. Serve with additional chips and vegetables
on the side for dipping

Not very creative but my fav flavor is vanilla, maybe with Heath bar bits if I'm feeling wild LOL!
