I didn't make the dumplings as I took my prized bag of Reame's Frozen Noodles out for a test drive and they didn't disappoint but I think I would prefer a full on bread dumpling for this recipe but that's only because that is what I am used to.  The recipe included with the creamed chicken would be a good starter recipe in the wonderful world of dumplings . . . Smiley Wink

Definition of dessertspoon

1 : a spoon intermediate in size between a teaspoon and a tablespoon for use in eating dessert.

A dessert spoon is a spoon designed specifically for eating dessert and sometimes used for soup or cereals. Similar in size to a soup spoon (intermediate between a teaspoon and a tablespoon) but with an oval rather than round bowl, it typically has a capacity around twice that of a teaspoon.

By extension, the term 'dessert spoon' is used as a cooking measure of volume, usually of 10ml or 0.4 fl oz.
