Oh I never go to TJ Maxx!  I should!  I don't want the whole Q kit...only the cupcake popper!

Ya know, @ChiliPepper ...I saw that apple peeler and thought what a piece of plastic junk....but it really worked!  I have an old fashioned metal one that also takes the core out and will spiral cut it.  Works pretty good!

Cranberry, Crab Meat & Cream Cheese Appetizers

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Ocean Spray Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce

1/3 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup minced crab meat

2 tablespoons green onion, white and green parts, sliced

15 individual mini-phyllo shells, thawed

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375Âş F.

Place cranberry sauce in a small mixing bowl; beat with a fork or wire whisk until smooth.

Combine cream cheese, crab meat and green onion in a small mixing bowl.

Fill each shell with about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture.

Top with 1/2 teaspoon cranberry sauce.

Bake for 10 minutes or until heated through.

Makes 15 individual servings.

Chili's notes:

I did something similar but I mixed hot pepper jam (of course!) with the cranberry to give it the sweet-hot thing.

Yes, their peeler did look cheap, cheap, cheap so I figured it would NEVER work but it sure did.

I also have an old metal one & it really works well.

I usually only pull it out though when I am peeling a bunch of apples. I just used a peeler & knife to do up the apples for the cran-apple sauce I have cooking now.

Cranberry Brie Appetizer Bites

Prep Time 20 minutes Cook Time 30 minutes

Ingredients:

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup water

1 1/4 cups fresh or frozen Cranberries

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon finely shredded lemon peel

25 3 1/4-inch square wonton wrappers

1 8-ounce Brie round, cut into 24 3/4-inch cubes

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Spray 24 miniature-muffin cups with nonstick cooking spray.

Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Add cranberries; return to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer about 3 to 4 minutes or until cranberries pop and mixture thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice and peel.

Press 1 wonton wrapper gently into each muffin cup, allowing ends to extend above. Spray edges of wonton wrappers with nonstick cooking spray.

Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until bottoms of cups are beginning to brown.

Place 1 cube of Brie in each cup; place sheet of aluminum foil over each pan to prevent excessive browning.

Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until Brie is soft.

Remove from oven; top each with about 1 teaspoon cranberry mixture.

Makes 24 appetizers.

Chili's notes:

I could see myself replacing the lemon juice & lemon peel with orange juice & orange peel. I love cranberry-orange.

As long as you are at it...may I PLS have a tray of these too?

Thank you my dear!  You're the best!!

Anyone else want to place an order as long as @ChiliPepper  is serving?  hee hee

Good morning

Today is my meeting day.  It starts earlier now because my noon meeting was set in the Mountain time zone and in a zone that doesn't adjust for DST.

I learn something new every day!

Actually, I do watch football, just not as much as I used to when I was able to go out for Monday Night Football & free appetizers at the local pub! Geeez, that WAS a long time ago LOL!

You will LOVE this but I am a Bills Fan!!!

And yes, I will make these for you. Any time my Friend!!!

Actually, I picked that recipe because it uses pre-made phyllo shells & the mix is quick to throw together so its easy-peasy IMO!
