Ok.  I can't believe this myself but the kitchen shears have been found.  Actually they almost pierced my noggin as I pulled a bag of panko bread crumbs from an upper shelf and down they came.  I don't have a flipping clue how they ended up there but even if they hit me in the head I would still be thrilled to see them . . . Thanks for highlighting those Asian selections @novamc1  as they are so good (I had the reminder of the noodles/chicken leftovers with a scrambled egg for breakfast, yum!). I was so happy to see them this morning when I was combing through the latest ad (I am a fan of the Orange Chicken).  I was also thrilled to see next week they will have that car organizer we had been talking about complete with an insulated pouch:

Auto XS Trunk Organizer with Insulated Cooler View 4

I have something similar from Joy Mangano that I love and ended up buyig a second one.  The insulated bag is really helpful.

And hee @novamc1  your post about my "ambitious" sloppy joe recipe literally made me laugh out loud!  I may have to look into McCormick's mixes.  I usually don't as they are measured out for larger portions than I make but that could easily be cut in half for my needs.  Thanks for the tip (but I was shocked at how the balsamic vinegar was a game changer)!

McCormick seasoning packets are the best.  Before I switched to Penzey's, they were my go to for things like meatloaf seasoning and things like that.

Good morning

I'm watching the live shots of New Orleans and it sounds like it's not going to be as devastating as they originally thought.

I see a lot of rain in a lot of people's future though.

We had 2 days of crazy rain this week.  Hopefully we're in the clear for a day or 2.  It wasn't as bad near my office as it was in some other places, so I personally dodged the bullet.

@tiny 2how goes it today my friend?  Were you able to find the tubing you need for DH oxygen concentrator?

@momtochloe,I am still working on it. The company that makes the tubing will not sell directly to me. Ack@#$%$$%^!!!!Cat Mad

Oh good grief, then exactly who will they sell said tubing to?  Sorry @tiny 2  I know how frustrated you must be right now, I so wish I could help!

@momtochloe  What is frustrating is I found out that it is made right here. I could be at their door in 15 minutes. They sell to hospitals, medical equipment companies etc.

Sigh @tiny 2  I so feel you.  I paid out of pocket to get my mom what she needed as I was struggling with both her insurance and Medicare.  Shame on all of them and the folks you are dealing with right now.  It's a sin that you are trying to be cost efficient and is being met with this.

@momtochloe, I do not mind paying out of pocket. The tubing that Hospice is supplying is a smaller lumen and it kinks. This works ok for lower oxygen requirements because the oxygen with still get through. When someone is on a higher oxygen level the kink can create a back pressure within the tubing. When it reaches the machine it will automatically push the 10 liters per minute down to 2 or 4 which results in my husbands O2 saturation lowering to a point that is dangerous because his heart, brain etc. is not receiving the oxygen.  The tubing that I am trying to get is a larger lumen that will not allow the back pressure to form.

Good morning!  You aren't kidding @momtochloe Thank Goodness it's Friday!

I hope to finally be caught up from my vac by today.

Ya know, there ARE elves that sneak around at night and move your stuff.  That is the ONLY explanation how stuff ends up where it does.

Why on earth would I put my creamer bottle in the microwave and not the fridge?  It just HAD to be them with their wicked little senses of humor!

The other night, they mysteriously turned on the dishwasher!  DH thought I turned it on and I, him!  It was barely full!  Now either the elves turned it on to be funny OR one of us hit the control panel with our big butts!

Oh dear!  I pray you get this situation corrected.  Why don't they just cooperate and LISTEN to you!

Could the nurse at your DH"s physician's office help with this?   Literally this is the type of thing I dealt with on a daily basis for at least a dozen of the physicians I worked with.  I know a majority of doctor's offices no longer employ RN's and I'm not sure a medical assistant (who seem to be the certificate of choice in a doctor's office now) would be able to argue the necessity as well as a LPN or RN.  But if there is one there, maybe she could facilitate securing that tubing for you.   Would this company sell it to your homehealth provider, and they charge you since this company won't deal directly with you?  Or perhaps your supplier for the O2 equipment could secure the tubing?

@mustang66lady Thanks. Hospice is working on it to see if they can get it. Good suggestion about the office. I will get back to you. The air conditioner for the lower level  has stopped working and the technician is on the way. Smiley Sad
