@momtochloe   I bought a stinky wreath from a craft show about 25 years ago.  It was massive and beautifully done and cost a small fortune.  I think it is the moss they used in it.

I ended up wrapping it in dryer sheets for a while and then when I hung it up, I folded the dryer sheets behind it on the wall.  It was okay unless it was really humid and then it would start to stink again.

CURE FOR STINKY THINGS

     I put stinky things (where mold or mildew might be the problem) on a piece of plastic in a car where the sun will shine on it.  I do this during the heat of the day (12 to 3) for two to three days.  This has worked for me.  I did this for a beautiful suede purse I bought on ebay.

Thanks for the info, looks like some great items. I saw a hack somewhere where you use one of those beverage dispensers (or one of the glass, lemonade type ones we all have in the back of our cupboard somewhere) on top of your washer to dispense laundry detergent so you don't have to pour it out of the bottle. Seemed like a nifty idea to me.

Peppers & onions are ALWAYS a good item to have though I don't like my peppers cooked super well (I like them "crunchy cooked" so I don't know if the frozen ones would start off much softer.

Definitely looking for the squeeze bottle ginger & garlic, we have the jar type but the squeeze bottle would be so handy.

I think my favorite of these is the squeeze garlic.  I kind of hate buying garlic in the spring/summer as they tend to sprout so fast; after all it is growing season.  It's so nice to just squeeze the garlic out and not have to peel, pull out the sprout if it has sprouted, and then chop/mince.   Spoiled I am.

I hear ya!  DH and I have kind of discovered we like frozen meat less and less.  We have been eating out of our freezer for a long time now and we still have a bit more to go but looks more inviting now.  We have been fighting the urge to keep frozen meat because we want it when we want it, and it's less appealing to have to defrost before cooking-by then, I'm over the urge to cook whatever.   Trying now to focus on things that I can defrost fast.  And I am really trying to cook just for us and not have many if any, leftovers.   I'm always amazed at what you cook for yourself because I'm not sure I would do that if alone.  Peanut butter would probably become my best friend!

@mustang66lady @momtochloe GASP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Couldn't!!!!!!!!! I must have much in the freezer. I prepare and vacuum seal so no burn. Yesterday I butchered my tenderloins so nice steaks, ground some beef and browned and seasoned it for 20 packages ready to go for chili, tacos, spaghetti etc and I am not going to tell you the rest because I am sure you will laugh.

OH Dear!   Don't be alarmed.  I used to be the same but my situation isn't the same as yours.   I certainly understand.  That's not to say I won't return to wanting to have my freezer full again.  But for us, we have a huge upright freezer and it is full-for 2 of us!   EEEGADS!   We do have friends who are more than generous with their berries, apples, peaches and cheeries when in season.  They used to raise hogs and we bought that from them as well.   But I don't cook every day as DH is often out of town and/or state.   Our kids are gone and don't live close enough to invite for a meal without planning because they live far enough away that they would drive 1 - 3 or more hours just to get here.   I think we are ready for a smaller freezer for just the two of us but then we usually hold all the holiday meals which that big freezer allows me to cook ahead and freeze, etc.  It's the dog chasing its' tail.

I bought 2 sets of the pink.  I don't have any "real" Carole Hochman, so I have no idea how these compare to what she sells in stores or at the Q.  But these are very nice.  I was going to look online today to see if they have any more.  Love Costco's free shipping.  Keeps me from having to navigate that zoo.

I ordered 2 more sets.  They are no on sale online.  They are still $18 each, still a great bargain.

     I agree.  F.Y.I.,  her website is having a good sale of winter things, if you have any interest.  I especially love her 100% cotton items.  They wash well and don't seem to shrink.

     They had these in grey and in blue, but I, like you, preferred the pink.  The floral capris are particularly pretty.  I think you'll like them.

I am kind of a new shopper to HSN but I purchased an Aria brand nightshirt that I just love.  I think the quality of it is as good if not better than Carole Hockman.  I also believe I read somewhere that the Aria brand could sometimes be found at SAM's or Costco.   Just wanted to give you all an FYI in case you run across that brand and wonder about it at all.  I did size up one size from my QVC size as I have found seems to be normal with HSN in the lines I have tried except the Marla Wynn line-I stay with my QVC size in her line unless the host says to go up.   Hope this helps.

What do you put in yours?  I just started recently making them.

I add a little Miracle Whip, relish, S&P, Garlic powder,  dill, sometimes taragon....I use my Wilton Cake Decorator and squirt them out real purdy!  Top w/ a little smoked or sweet paprika.

In the South, it used to be that you got at least one develed egg dish when you go married.  Mine is oval with salt (hen) and pepper (rooster) shakers that sit in the middle of the dish.

What a great tradition!   I would have loved that egg plate.   I am fortunate to have gotten my Mother's two egg plates.   And I have a smaller one in the shape of a tree (Christmas) that goes with my Pfalzgraff dishes.  I use my Mom's the most.  Oh, I forgot, I purchased a deviled egg plate from Walmart years and years ago, that was a penquin which is also a Christmas dish.

@mustang66lady  thanks for bringing up that Aria brand.  I know I have seen it somewhere but next time I see something at a good price I'll have to give it a try.

And hee @ChiliPepper , isn't that tiny kitteh FIERCE!  Goodness I must have watched that clip 20 times in a row, made me smile . . .

We are not only hot now but now it brought it's good friend humidity along for the ride.  I was "glowing" buckets by the time I hiked up those stairs.  For some reason they are not turning the A/C on in the hallways and they are stifling (I mean if my place feels cooler than the hallway you know you have a problem).
