DH and I love that Sinbad routine about McDonalds. He is always a hoot and his material was almost always clean. I certainly miss his HBO specials. The last I heard of him he had declared bankruptcy and was working as a DJ in the LA area.

I am praying that all goes well for your DD. I know you will miss having her around. I’m sure it must only seem like yesterday that she was small. Do you have any funny stories about her when she was a child? I’d love to hear some and it might make you feel better to remember them.
I have a friend who is the oldest of three children. Her mother told me that her first two kids (my friend and her brother) were such good and obedient children when they were growing up. Her third child turned out quite differently and was a real handful. She said that if they had had her first, they would not have had any more children!

Unfortunately I do not have a Hummel Nativity scene as I would happily have shipped it off to you if I did as I know it would be going to a good home!
I think I may be a decade or so late with trying to sell these figurines as there used to a German shop in a mall by me that is now gone and all of the consignment/collectible shops in this area are not interested. I did get a lead on an online place that specializes in collectibles so hopefully I can find them good homes as I know what they meant to my mom.

Are you anywhere near Batavia? I seem to remember there were some German shops there. I seem to remember a charming shop in that area called “The Little Traveler.” Is it still there?

Oh Writer, this DD was a hoot! Yes there are stories but won't burden you all with them. She will always be special as all 3 of them are but she is the one who was with me thru thick and thin because she was young enough not to have another choice! She is also the one who started having grand mal seizures when she was 21 so the bond is strong and different, but can say that about each one. Thank you for your more than kind and thoughtful words. 
I must say I am a little battle worn from the day. I cannot believe someone would complain about the length of our thread-if it is too much for you, wouldn't you just skip over it?! I look at other threads that are long and am not threatened or upset by their length-in fact I sometimes wish I was a part of their circle but there is only so much time in the day and I can't live on the computer. I should go before I say anymore but want to thank the MODS for allowing us to continue this thread. Bless you all-you have a very difficult job.
