Well our middle DD came tonight and took what was probably her last load to move to her apartment. She took two recliners we had-they actually were my DF's and he gave them to her. She doesn't have a sofa but has those recliners! It seems odd that she has moved; she and I have been thru a lot together. It was time; she's 27 and has really not more than just landed here a lot but has never taken all her belongings with her before. I pray the best for her. I'm a little sad but proud she is finally ready to move forward.

@mustang66lady please know my marching forward is helped by the fact that realtor's are not bugging me to re-stage the house as it needs so many cosmetic improvements. They didn't even bother taking "glamour shots" which I totally support. This is a house with good bones, great sized rooms and needs probably at least 80-100k in remodeling that a contractor will get back and more. The fact that it is going up on the market on Friday and I am already on call for Saturday "showings" leads me to believe there is already someone interested and they should be. It's a great house in a great neighborhood which needs to be brought into this century . . .

Good thoughts to you as your daughter moves out, your post really touched my heart. It's tough when you have such a bond with a child and then they move on . . . cyber hugs my friend ((((mustang)))) . . .

I think our house is the lower state model of yours. DH doesn't see the need to update anything and no matter how I try to explain to him that it brings the value of our house down, he doesn't see that. Only difference is I don't see a contractor purchasing ours. I am praying for everything to fall into place for you in all of this.

Thank you for your prayers about my DD moving out. She is the one that has been with me thru thick and thin; not to take away from the other two, but she was the one that was here with me. The others were away. The young man that helped her move out is one of her two best friends from high school and loves her move than life itself. She is moving only 15 minutes from him which makes me feel good. I know he is a phone call away from her and will be there no matter what. Wish she would wake up and smell the roses before it is too late.

I love and appreciate your statement about your house needing to be brought into this century. I am praying that will happen and that God will provide you with a view of that someday, maybe when you take a drive by and see another family living and loving in the house that holds such precious memories for you.

@RespectLife I have kitchen envy, too! I love the look of the stools, but I wouldn't want to sit on them for more than 5 minutes. I love the industrial look. I also loved that HGTV show West End Salvage. While some of the things they created were a little over the top, they had some pretty cool stuff.

We have very comfortable stools at work with low backs. I use them for my monthly new hire events. What's nice is they fit under the counter, so they are not in the way.
