I didn't even have time to get my door ornament or hanging plants down.
Oy!
@VaBelle35 I have to ask, do you not have a storm door on your front door? I find this more than intriguing as in this part of Illinois it is a given so I can't imagine not having one.

Good morning Kitchenettes!
We are back from the vet and I turned on HSN-the special value today is a LEATHER Handbag with RFID clutch for 39.95, 4 flex pays and free shipping and handling, in about 12 colors and it comes in WHITE! Hope you see this ASAP Writer! The blush color is about to sell out and they said a couple of other colors are getting close to selling out! It is a Joy Mangano bag if that makes a difference to you or not-I don't have an opinion one way or another but I know many people seem to have strong opinions about her both good and bad. They just said the French blue will sell out this presentation.
@mustang66lady awww you made me look! . . . nice purse and I like the RFID clutch!
I have to admit, I do get tired of people constantly dogging out Joy Mangano and Lori Grenier. I wish I had their instincts! ![]()

Ok, I now have 3 handbags coming from HSN! Sigh, DH may have a heart attack but they are all such good buys and all three prices together is just a little over 100.00!
We haven't had rain for several days now and I believe I am going to be forced to water plants that are in pots or I may lose the flowers. To my surprise, I have a rabbit and her babies living under my plants and flowers that are in the huge planter around my pole light! She has surprised DH when he mows and me when I trimmed. I hate to make it rain on her home but if I don't, the potato vines she is feeding on, will die and they she and the babies will be without protection and food.
Glad things have cooled down a tad in Northern IL, but down here in SO. IL it is still hot and humid. The best thing I can say, is there isn't anything to scrap off the windshield and for that I am thankful! It is the reason I tolerate the heat better than the cold. ![]()

I was thinking of you when I called Writer out, too! She had expressed interest in a white bag and then I saw this one in black as well but all those beautiful colors and at 9.99 a month times 4 and free S&H, well I kind of hope you might be tempted to try a color and step outside your black handbag box! LOL! ![]()

Tee hee, my days of multiple handbags are behind me my friend @mustang66lady.
In my glory days, I would spend Sunday selecting what I would wear and coordinate appropriately down to what nail polish matched said outfits and accessories for the week. I had a full rack of shoes that spanned the length of my bedroom with shoes and matching purses . . . sigh.
I am very happily married to my current purse and I don't believe I will be trading it in for a newer model unless something falls off . . . the thing to watch will be whether it is me or the purse that something falls off of . . . ![]()

Awww, mtc,
I was hoping this would tempt you a little!
I love slouchy leather and while I am more a hobo style girl, it was such a good buy and I will always love a big bag. The funny thing is, I don't own a black handbag at all! I probably have over 100 handbags and closest thing to black that I own is a charcoal gray with black trim that is a knock off coach. I absolutely fell in love with the CAB hobo that Meryl Streep carried in "It's Complicated" but in no way pay that much for that bag.
I do appreciate your comments re; Lori Greiner and Joy Mangano. I never quite understand why people get their drawers in such a knot over these two-just change the channel. I like some of their things but not all. I can say that about any product line though, not just these two. I sure wish I could look at things the way they do and reinvent them in a way that it makes life easier at least for some people. I guess then my name would be added to the list! ![]()

Tee hee, I had to look up the CAB bag you were referencing @mustang66lady. Good heavens I have been out of the handbag game for a very long time! My glory handbag days were spent at TJ Maxx and Marshall's where I bought some very fine bags and many that were off the beaten path.
Then I got old and decided I didn't like shifting my stuff between bags each week . . . ![]()
I have become very shall we say convenient in my handbags. I now carry a satchel that the zipper works perfectly every time I use it and can toggle between handles and shoulder strap as the need arises. I am also happy with the pocket ratio in said purse . . . I do believe we are married for life . . . ![]()

Yeah, I don't know why I fell in love with that bag but wow, I sure don't love the price! Yikes-I think it is just canvas! Never heard of the brand before seeing that movie, but am not actively looking for it either since seeing the price!
I was reading the thread on Drew Petersen that you have been commenting on. I didn't realize you worked near the area he haunted. What a scary man and Menard Correctional Center is just a little over an hour drive from where I live. DH was in that area yesterday and wondered why there was so much commotion going on at the prison. First question he asked when he got home was about Petersen. And I always worried about the next door neighbor woman; I was worried he would get rid of her, too. I'm still surprised he hasn't taken out a hit on her to this day. Wasn't it his half brother or step brother that helped him move that barrel? Why have the police not investigated him more? I'm afraid they will never find Stacy-I think she was dissolved in chemicals in that barrel. Just a horrifing story.

@mustang66lady I used to work out in Bolingbrook more than a few years ago. Of course I followed the case in the news everyday but it didn't truly hit home with me until I realized I had been driving by the bar that he frequented and also picked up women. It was more than an epiphany for me as this maniac was in a community I worked in but also was trolling for his next wife/victim.
I don't know if it was his half brother or step brother that allegedly helped him dispose of Stacy's body. I do remember whomever it was had some mental impairments but again I think anyone around him was probably terrified as at that point he had gotten away with killing Kathleen and I'm pretty sure they had their doubts but kept silent for their own safety.
This guy really is a maniac and my heart breaks for his children. Thank goodness the younger ones may be able to make some sort of a life for themselves as they are away from him but I think his older son is damaged beyond repair.
