It is late; almost Sunday morning for our east coast girls. Just missing you all and wish we lived closer together. I think all of us needs a group hug. Makes me think, what are some of your powerful "chick" flicks that shows the power of women? I think of Steel Magnolias, and First Wives Club. I have always told our daughters that women need women in their lives. Thank you all for being in mine!
SO true!
One of His greatest gifts to women are other women!!
Ya made me misty! ![]()

How is Mr. Respect doing?
He is doing better @Writer with Flair , thanks for asking.
First 2 days...hey, not so bad! Then that nerve block they injected during surgery wore off...whooo boy!
Had some issues w/ meds. making him sick, but we got that changed.
He is going to therapy and doing well, doing his therapy at home and using his machines.
When he is not walking he must wear an ice machine on his knee and circulation pads on both legs to prevent blood clogs.
Only problem is, our fridge icer can't keep up with the demand! LOL
I have had to go buy ice!
Did they not suggest he rent the ice machine for home? Everyone I know who has had some sort of joint surgery and needed ice has rented the machine. THen you only need to put water in it vs ice.
No @VaBelle35
This gizmo is ours, not rented.
Apparently, this surgical group bills the insurance ONE lump (very large lump, I am sure) sum.
It included everything, doc, surgery, surgery center, rehab hotel, all meals, all meds, ALL equipment (walker, cane, ice machine, circulation pumps), all followup Pt etc.
Everything!
We do have to put the ice in. But the PT guy said to freeze water bottles and that will accomplish the same thing as cubes!
DUH! We are good now once we learned that. PT also sends him home w/ large bags of ice.

Did you say Tequila Day???
I'm in!
SNORT no my friend @RespectLife they are taquitos, those lovely rolled corn tortillas stuffed with meat/cheese/etc and then baked/deep fried. This last box is Jose Ole (on sale with an additional $1 coupon just because). Seriously my air fryer friend, they are good to have in the freezer as a couple of those can ward off any hunger pangs you may have mid-day! ![]()

So, I think National Tequila day is in July but since we live in our own little world here in QPSS Land, I vote we have it today too!

Ok, so Thanksgiving is next week right?
Anyone GOT any great ideas, recipes, thoughts?
Anyone NEED any great ideas, recipes, thoughts?
We are having a Thanksgiving lunch at work Friday. I signed up for an appetizer - mostly because every other category had been signed up for.
My first thoughts were a veggie tray or spinach artichoke dip but I'm definitely open to suggestions!

HEE @ChiliPepper my friend I had a mini panic attack this weekend as I wasn't sure if it was this week or next (not that it matters for me since Trader Joe's is handling the festivities this year but I feel ya!) . . . ![]()
I'll be on the lookout this week for great and different appetizer ideas. Jeff Mauro had an interesting one on The Kitchen this weekend but goodness I would break out into hives putting this together: I'll see if I can find it again and post it.
Good to see you my friend! ![]()
