@momtochloe

DH wanted to go to SAM's so off we went.  Gosh, I would have been spooked being in the same area as Petersen.  Didn't he own a bar with his first or second wife?   Was that the bar he hung out at?  Do you know what happened to the brother that helped him dispose of the barrel?  Even if he was mentally impaired, I would think he might be of some help to the police but then again, he may still be afraid of Drew.  I know I still think of Drew when I see Rob Lowe no matter what he is acting in and Kaley Cuoco is still Stacy to me.

Awww, mtc,

I was hoping this would tempt you a little!  Woman Very Happy  I love slouchy leather and while I am more a hobo style girl, it was such a good buy and I will always love a big bag.  The funny thing is, I don't own a black handbag at all!   I probably have over 100 handbags and closest thing to black that I own is a charcoal gray with black trim that is a knock off coach.  I absolutely fell in love with the CAB hobo that Meryl Streep carried in "It's Complicated" but in no way pay that much for that bag.

I do appreciate your comments re; Lori Greiner and Joy Mangano.  I never quite understand why people get their drawers in such a knot over these two-just change the channel.  I like some of their things but not all.  I can say that about any product line though, not just these two.  I sure wish I could look at things the way they do and reinvent them in a way that it makes life easier at least for some people.  I guess then my name would be added to the list!  Woman Wink

I never get tearing down of any vendor.  Sometimes I think certain customers feel betrayed when the vendor becomes successful.  I know that Leslie Blodgett was everyone's best friend until she sold her stake to Shisedo for billions and then she was Enemy #1.

It's such an odd mentality.

Re: Quick Pot Sticker Soup

[ Edited ]

And you all made me go and look at that damned bag now, too.

I need the purple.  I want the pink, but I can't justify yet ANOTHER pink tote.  LOL

I could justify the light pink, though.  I can TOTALLY justify the purple.

And you all buried the lead on the duffle.

I think I like the duffle even more.

I am very hard on purses and shoes so I can't justify spending a lot of them.  Plus I get bored with purses and don't want to spend a mortgage payment (or more!) on one and then want to change it out after a month.

I have to think long and hard before I spend more than $100 on a purse. I have to really love it.

Same with shoes.  While the shoe boots I bought at the Nordstrom anniversary sale were nice, they weren't anything special that I could see spending $175 on.  They didn't look like rich leather, which was my biggest problem with them.

I went to find the new Bobby's Burger Palace that is on the other side of the county.  It is outside the mall, so I had a very hard time finding it.  I could have driven to Baltimore and used just as much gas.  LOL  But I eventually found it.

And to my surprise, I was due a free burger, which I didn't even know until I got home and looked at the receipt.  So that was a nice surprise.

I do love that place.  It hits the spot.

re tomatoes and figs

I'm not doing anything special, they are good on their own.  Just a little salt on the tomatoes and a drizzle of honey on the figs.

@mustang66lady I don't know if he was part owner of this bar.  To be honest, when I heard it mentioned in the news it didn't ring a bell with me at all until one day I glanced over and there it was (it's in a mall on a rather busy four lane road).

It was his step-brother who helped him carry the blue barrel out of the house but unfortunately that was the extent of his involvement.  Being a former policeman, I'm sure Peterson knew how to mask/disguise his movements during those crucial days.

She was so young . . . I'm just glad he'll never see the light of day again.

@VaBelle35

Ok VaBelle,

Confess, did you get a handbag?!  If I had not ordered the other two bags a couple of days ago, I probably would have ordered two today.  I loved the French blue because I live in jeans and thought it would look good with those.  When they demonstrated how soft that leather is and how flat it folds, I think it sold me.  That plus it has a zipper on top which most totes don't have.  And I loved that clutch attaches to the inside of the bag so that you don't lose your valuables down in the bag and they can't be pick pocketed easily.  I would have preferred feet on the bottom but there are so many positives to the bag plus the flex pays plus free S&H, for 9.99 a month for 4 months, I couldn't say no!  I ended up with the cognac.

Well mtc, I'm more than happy he is locked up for life and I'm glad you no longer have to deal with being so close to that monster. Heart I'm sure all of Bollingbrook was a hotbed of nerves during that time.  He must have been a bully of a cop, too. Woman Tongue

And what have I been watching on t.v. this afternoon while I cooked some blackberries down into syrup-a documentary on Ted Bundy and now it's about to end one on Charles Manson, to be followed by a documentary on his victims!  Just switched to "The Intern!"  Puts me in a better mood!

No I didn't.  I really want the duffle but it doesn't come in all of the colors that the tote comes in.

Pfffft.

I may cave at the 9 pm show.
