Kacky's Buttery Beer Bread

There are a few recipes for Beer Bread out there, but none as simple (3 minutes prep. time) and tasty as this one.

Sensational with soups, salads or just as a snack, but it won't be around long once your family gets a taste of it.

Be sure to use a sheet pan or foil under your loaf pan to catch any excess butter that may drip during cooking ( I didn't have a problem with that).

3 cups all purpose flour, SIFTED
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1-12oz can or bottle of beer
1/2 to 1 cup melted butter

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Sift dry ingredients together into a large bowl. Mix with beer.
3. Pour into a greased or sprayed loaf pan.
4. Pour melted butter over mixture.
5. Bake 1 hour, remove from pan and cool for at least 15 minutes.
6. Updated notes: This recipe makes a very hearty bread with a crunchy buttery crust. If you prefer a softer crust (like traditional bread), mix the butter into the batter instead of pouring over the top. ENJOY!

I would love to make a beautiful Gingerbread house!

I don't wanna eat it, just decorate it!

The first one looks like some graham crackers were used (door?)

Brilliant!

 Peppermint Patty Drink

Peppermint Patty Cocoa

    • Prep Time: 5 minutes

    • Cook Time: 0 minutes

  • Yield: 1 drink
  •

Try the Peppermint Patty drink: a genius combination of hot chocolate, mint and chocolate liqueurs! This cozy mug has your name on it.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces (3/4 cup) hot chocolate
  • 1 1/2 ounces (3 tablespoons) Creme de Cacao
  • 1 1/2 ounces (3 tablespoons) 30 proof or 60 proof** peppermint schnapps
  • For the garnish: whipped cream, crushed peppermint candies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the homemade hot chocolate (or make it using purchased cocoa mix*).
  2. Mix all ingredients together in a mug. Top with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candies, if desired.

Notes

If using purchased hot chocolate mix, you may want to use whole milk or stir in a bit of half and half or cream to add richness.

**Check the bottle before you make this drink! If using 100 proof (50% ABV) schnapps, skip the 1 1/2 ounces and just add a drizzle to taste.
