Questions for Ninja CREAMi Deluxe 11 in 1 Owners

Just purchased one and have no clue about receipes, etc.  What is the best cookbook for new users who want regularr recipes but also sugar free, healthy, too?  Also, would you recommend extra containers; and if so, which ones?  Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Isn't that the book that comes with the machine?

If you're on Facebook, there are some groups for the Creami/Creami Deluxe.  Besides reciepes, you can find tips and help.

@patticakes

Lots of recipes online.

A creative friend of mine just bought one to make frozen "ice cream" using her proten drink recipe.

She also bought the Costco Kirkland margarita mix with alcohol and we tried it together for the first time the other day.

Delicious!  Slushy and not an ice cream as she just used the mix, nothing else.

Re: Questions for Ninja CREAMi Deluxe 11 in 1 Owners

I think there's a market for Creami pre-made mixes. Either liquids ready to be frozen, or powders to be reconstituted and then frozen. I'd buy prepared mixes in either format that could be simply poured into the Creami cups, frozen and then used in 24-plus hours.Many/most of the recipes out there could be sold in such formats without a ton of trouble. I suspect there are enough Creami machines on the market now to justify the development and start-up costs.

A quick Google shows a company called Frostline sells "soft serve ice cream mix" on Amazon that has instructions for using it with a Creami. You can mix the powder with water, milk, or heavy cream. They come in six-pound bags and the Creami instructions say to mix a half cup of the powder with sixteen ounces of water, milk, or heavy cream. The powder has an 18-month shelf life also. I think I'll order a bag to give it a try. Try a cup with water, one with milk, and one with heavy cream. It gets good reviews also. The chocolate is about $24+ for a six-pound bag that reportedly (according to one reviewer) makes 100 cups for their Creami. If you use water for the mix there's no added cost so the cost per cup (assuming 100 cups per bag) is about a quarter per Creami cup. (Average cost goes up if you use milk or heavy cream.)
