@dex wrote:@KentuckyWoman @So I am really curious..what did you decide to do?I hope that you have the best time at the pool party and people enjoy your dessert.
@dex I frosted one of the cakes and sort of glued it together with the frosting. It tasted delicious. We all had a good laugh and there wasn't any left. I am going to get new cake pans and see what happens next time.

My daughter in law just asked last week how my bundt cakes always came out perfectly - I showed her.
Baker's Joy - a spray specifically for bundt pans. It is, as the can says, the Original Non-Stick Baking Spray With Flour. It is a white can with blue printing and a blue lid -found next to the other baking sprays like Pam for a few dollars. I spray liberally right before I pour in the batter making sure to get the center tube as well.
Never had a failure. I love bundt cakes and have been given a lot of different speciality pans over the years. We prefer this type of cake as then it can just have a light glaze as we aren't really into a lot of frosting in our family.
By the way it is also great for spraying chicken before oven baking as it creates a light crust as it contains flour.

I stopped baking many years ago, but used a NordicWare bundt pan-- and now own a brand new never-used nonstick Nordic bundt.
Why not do an internet search for "Nordic bundt recipes" and see whether any of the recipes offer useful tips from the manufacturer about prepping the pan and later getting a cake to release properly.
Frankly, I see no need to bake these days, because so many great pies and cakes can be purchased in stores. This was not the case when I baked many things a few decades ago. For example............
I regretted a dessert I served at a large holiday party a few years ago, after visiting a HoneyBaked Ham store and seeing their array of desserts, including a gorgeous Bundt-style rum cake. Wish I had bought it and served it at that party.

Whenever the directions say grease/butter/oil and flour, I get out the Baker’s Joy.

@KentuckyWoman I've kept your bundt cake dilemma in the back of my mind since you originally posted this in May, probably because you kept a good sense of humor about your frustrating baking experience.
While looking for something else online for Labor Day weekend recipes I came across a 1/22/2017 article by P.J. Hamel on the KingArthurFlour website entitled "How to prevent Bundt cakes from sticking" that you might want to check out. It gave some really good possible reasons for the failed release and some good possible solutions.

@aroc3435 Thanks for the info. I have visited the King Arthur website several times but never checked out this article. I'll take a look. Thanks again!
