I often dip my pretzels in whipped cream cheese and once in a while I dip them in guacamole.

Do you have a favorite dip for pretzels?

(or chips if you don't do pretzels)

For me, guacamole is the ultimate dip.  I don't like pretzels however, and like to dip with Fritos.

I like dipping pretzels in onion dip, garlic dip, and spinach dip (the one with Knorr's veggie soup/frozen spinach). Also queso! I've also been known to dip them in peanut butter! LOL!

I like to dip pretzels in mustards also. Dijon or spicy. Sometimes I'll dip them in hummus, ranch dip or guacamole.

This cheese sauce takes a little bit of work because I prefer freshly-shredded cheeses (the preshredded is covered in cellulose to prevent clumping).  The work is worth it:

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack

Stir cornstarch and cheese in bowl until evenly coated.  Bring broth to simmer in saucepan.  Slowly stir cheese into broth a handful at a time until melted.

I like to dip them in ice cream. When I was growing up, the ice cream parlors would put a bowl of pretzels on the table with your ice cream. Yum!

ETA: We always put mustard on our soft pretzels.

Thank you @deepwaterdotter . I love pretzels with cheese dipping sauce. I would've never thought to use broth. I will try this soon with soft pretzels.
