Hey everyone!

so I just got the pressure cooker XL a few weeks ago and I understand it comes with a receipt book or two, but I was wondering if anyone branched out and tried something new or if they tried a receipe and loved it!

I am normally a picky eater and mainly eat Italian, but would try to try new stuff.. I tried looking for receipes on this website but failed. So if anyone knows how to access them or want to share their own, I am willing to try!!

Please and thank you! Smiley Happy

In the little green book that comes with it, I have tried the macaroni and beef and pot roast. Both good. Also bought 2 pressure cooking books from amazon--one of Meredith Laurence and one by Bob Warden. So I have also tried cooking a corned beef which was great, and macaroni and cheese.  I love mine. Enjoy.

Pressure cooker cabbage all in one meal(this was my grandmothers who had a really old pressure cooker I used it till the seal went. I love this as does hubby, great on a cold winter evening or anytime.

1 very large head cabbage cut into pieces
2 large onions cut into chunks
4 large carrots sliced thick
2 large potatoes cut into chunks
1 lb smoked sausage cut into slices
1=10 oz box frozen fordhook lima beans
1/2 cup beef broth

Start and end with cabbage laying in pressure cooker(I make 2 batches from this, eat one while the other is cooking) Top off with 1/2 cup beef broth and Bring to pressure. Cook for 7 minutes, No more or will be mushy. I bring pressure down quickly under cold running tap water.
Mine is stove top one.

For second pot you will have broth leftover from first batch so no need to add anymore unless you see it needs it, 1/4 cup maybe, same instructions as above, so very good.

Hi @tiarae

I'm new to pressure cookers, also.  We tried it out about a month ago on a corned beef and it was the best we've had, so I'm doing another for St. Patrick's Day.

I didn't put the potatoes in with the meat, just the meat.  Delicious!

Hello @tiarae @Noel7 @doglover3 @geegerbee! I wanted to share that the Blue Jean Chef - Meredith Laurence - will be hosting a chat on 4/6 all about pressure cookers. It's a great time to ask questions and share your favorite recipes. In fact, she has a cheesecake recipe on there already. Click here to see it> Pressure Cooker Chat
