Pizza With Stuffed Crust
2 teaspoons cornmeal
2 tubes (10 ounces each) refrigerated pizza dough
8 ounces string cheese
1 tablespoon butter...melted
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 8 ounce jar pizza sauce
1 3 1/2 package sliced pepperoni
1 4 ounce can mushroom stems and pieces...drained
1 2 1/4 ounce can sliced black olives
2 cups Mozzarella cheese...grated
Grease a 15x10x1 inch pan. Sprinkle the cornmeal on the bottom. Unroll pizza dough and place in pan, letting dough drape 1 inch over the edges of pan. pinch the center seam to seal. Place cheese pieces around the edges of dough that is draped over pan. Fold dough over cheese pinching to seal. Brush the crust with melted butter. Sprinkle with basil bake at 475* for 5 minutes. Spread sauce over crust. Place 2/3 of the pepperoni in a single layer over sauce. Top with mushrooms, olives and cheese. Sprinkle the top with remaining pepperoni. Bake 10-12 minutes or til crust and cheese is lightly brown.
~~~I have also made this using Canadian bacon, olives and pineapple instead of the pepperoni and mushrooms...Mmm good stuff!~~~~
