Pizza Roll

 

2 tubes crescent rolls

1 pound ground beef

1/4 medium onion...minced

2 small cans tomato paste

1 Tablespoon parsley flakes

3/4 pound Mozzarella cheese....shredded

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese....finely shredded

2 eggs

1 (16 ounce) container cottage cheese

1/2 teaspoon basil

1/2 teaspoon oregano

garlic salt to taste

sesame seeds

milk

 

Grease a cookie sheet.  Place 1 tube of the crescent rolls on the cookie sheet. Seal all seams together.  Brown beef with onion. Drain. Add tomato paste (undiluted), basil, oregano and garlic salt. Spread mixture over crescent rolls. Mix together eggs, cottage cheese and parsley flakes. Pour over ground beef mixture.  Sprinkle the cheeses over the top. Use the 2nd tube of crescent rolls as a top crust. Seal edges. Brush  the top with a little bit of milk. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 375* for 25 minutes or til crust is done and is a nice golden brown color. Cut into squares to serve.

I make something similar to this but use pepperoni instead of ground beef and spread pizza sauce over that then spread cottage cheese/egg mixture with mozzarella cheese.
