Has anyone made the pea salad recipe from Ree Drummond?

I'm thinking about making it for Memorial Day, along with grilled burgers. Wondered what you thought about it.

Re: Pioneer Woman's Pea Salad

Because of food allergies and food sensitivities, I wouldn't eat Ree Drummonds pea salad.   I keep my pea salad simple with grated carrots, multi colored peppers, onions, bacon, small amount of grated cheese, and a dressing of mayo, sugar, vinegar and minced garlic.

Do you mean the regular one or the layered one? They both look good. I think they would be perfect for Memorial Day - and different. So many Memorial Day picnics have baked beans. I always go for something different too!

I make a marinated pea salad with LeSueur peas. I make it a lot during the winterholidays when I'm asked to bring something, because it is green and red! Smiley Happy

I'm thinking about the regular one. I've made something similar with broccoli.

I just looked at it and I have all of her cookbooks and never noticed this one before.  I think it looks great and I am going to try it.

I have made many of her recipes and they all come out great.

Re: Pioneer Woman's Pea Salad

We did a thread on this recipe for the Easter holiday I had found on her site and shared with the Ladies.  I did make it for my family and they so loved it.  You cannot go wrong with it and you can certainly add to or delete anything you prefer.  It was a winner for all and easy.

Well, I'm violently allergic to peppers and know a few others who share that allergy, so that would never work for me!

I have made Ree Drummond's pea salad many times and it is always a hit.  I say go for it!  You will not be disappointed!

[ Edited ]

I made pea salad for Easter and put up a post here about it.  I'd used another recipe before but someone mentioned the one from Pioneer Woman and I made that one.  We loved it!  The best, imo.
