What is your favorite recipe to make this and what small appliance do you use?

I have to confess: Both of my major grocery stores sell multiple varieties of such delicious fresh salsa that I never bother to make it myself! I never use the jar salsa any more; we love the fresh deli kind with minced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and peppers. SO good and not expensive.

I too will use fresh pico de gallo from the Store. I have homegrown tomatoes and I bought cilantro, peppers and onions so I figured I would try making it at Home. Thanks Goodstuff. Smile

This! I make salsa when I need to use up tomatoes or cilantro.

When I do make it, I dice 5 or 6 tomatoes, and onion, a few chili peppers, cilantro, roasted garlic, sprinkle with lime, salt and pepper.

Love it on a baked potato in lieu of butter. Yum!

I ordinarily hate raw tomatoes but LOVE pico de galo. I buy mine at Trader Joe's. When I make it it's bland and those icky tomatoes doesn't taste right.

No problem, Katey! The garlic is optional. I put it in everything.

If I make it, I go to Trader Joe's, they have a kit made up in the veggy dept's. it has the tomatoes, the cilantro, the pepper, the shallots, and the garlic, they have a kit for guac too.
