Pecan Pie Bars - sound good and easy!

I just came across this recipe and had to share - There are some recipes that just look and sound so good, and it's not tried and true by me, but I bet these are very good!!

Pecan Pie Bars

Cookie Crust:
2 1/2 c. flour
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup pecans, chopped

Beat together until crumbly. Press in oiled jelly roll pan. Bake 20-23 minutes until golden.

Filling:
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. Karo, light or dark
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. pecans, halves or broken

Prepare and bake cookie crust.

Beat eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour over hot crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Makes 48 bars.
