I think because the recipe includes sausage and red pepper, which are both quite flavorful on their own, either the cream of mushroom or the cream of chicken will be just fine. If you had it, you could always add a dash of celery seed or celery salt.

 

But I would not go to the store again. You're just making the recipe your own. Smiley Happy
