Oh mom, not chicken again . . . :(

[ Edited ]

Hey good news, here are some recipes to make when it's time to give chicken a rest for a bit.  Some nice options for pork, beef, seafood and meatless recipes:

@Kachina624 you are most welcome my friend and I thank you for your kind words!  Those skillet pork chops with rice have my name written all over them . . . Smiley Happy

@momtochloe.  LOL, I've already read that recipe and added cream to grocery list.  I've got the pork chops in the freezer.

@ECBG

This recipe sounds delicious. I am not a wine drinker so what kind do you use in this dish? TIA

Any white or rose is good.  The alcohol cooks off leaving only the flavor of the grape.

The first time I made this, our 15 yr old son went in the kitchen and drank the gravy!!!!!  (Don't forget the mashed potatoes.)

This recipe is from "Favorite Recipes Of Home Economics Teachers".

I use Beringer White Zin.  It's a California wine.  I also add it to spagetti sauce.

Too late mtc, I'd pulled out some chicken thighs from the freezer earlier today.  Will probably oven fry them in a seasoned flour/crushed corn flakes mix tomorrow.  Worse, we had chicken nuggets tonight.  Oh dear.  Mom Indeed!, says the dog!  I love the ideas for another day, though.  I think I am in a chicken rut.

@ECBG

Thanks! This is SO on my menu for this weekend. LOL about your son drinking the gravy. I thought I was the only one who loves gravy that much. Thanksgiving I usually have a small portion of turkey, but LOTS of stuffing, mashed potatoes and LOTS of gravy!
