Re: OMganache! Black Magic Cake!

@house_cat, that look delicious!  It is very lucky that I just happen to have buttermilk in my fridge.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

@house_cat  When we were kids, my mother made a Hersheys dark chocolate mayonaise cqke.  She would cover it with chocolate ganache like yours.  Oh my word!  Was that ever good and yours is remenicient of that cake...  Looks absolutely delicious!

That much cocoa and strong coffee in this recipe must make it taste amazing! I won’t even put frosting or anything on it except a small scoop of vanilla bean ice cream....yum

i have a recipe my great aunt used all the time...it was from the back of the Hershey syrup can...the 5 cent size, according to the 1938 recipe!

This is always my go to chocolate cake recipe.  I usually bake in a 9x13.  I use buttermilk.  Best cake ever.

Yum!  I've been very naughty during the holidays so right now I'm trying to take a small hiatus from eating anything fattening.  But I think I'm going to have to make this for Valentine's Day...I think enough time will have passed by then....!!!!

Btw, thanks for posting a photo of your goodie. Bundt cakes used to be SO popular, & I made lots of them. Over the years they kind of disappeared, & I miss them! I think I'll make this recipe & use my bundt pan. Smiley Happy

Can you say YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally just ate breakfast. Now it's time for dessert.

Send a piece right on over. LOL!!!

I guess I could use 2 tsps espresso powder since it's suppose to enhance the chocolate.

What frosting recipe did you use?

That looks similar to the small cake they sell at Aldi's. It has mini chocolate chips on top.
