Noticing air fryer directions on packages

Love this idea, it will get me using my air fryer again.  Sometimes I just didn't dare guess.

I noticed that too! I'm so glad, no more trying to figure it out in my head.

I cook for just me now so I use mine all the time.

I don't heat up the house with the oven that way - bonus!

Re: Noticing air fryer directions on packages

Just be advised, sometimes they change the air fryer directions without notice. The Ore-Ida french fries were 20 minutes at 400 degrees, the same as the preset on my air fryer for french fries, then they started pre-cooking them more or something and they changed the directions to 12 minutes at 400 degrees.  I was still cooking them for 20 minutes at 400 degrees and they were getting very, very crispy and I couldn't figure out why. I was wondering if something was wrong with my air fryer and then read the directions anew and saw they'd changed them. I still had an older bag with some in it with the old directions, but they never put anything on the bag indicating they'd changed the recommended cooking times. If you didn't read the new directions, you wouldn't know what happened.

I've noticed this too.  I purchased my air fryer last fall but don't use it much.  When I do, I refer back to the cooking guide that came with it.  At least that gives me a starting point.

Re: Noticing air fryer directions on packages

I always reduce the cooking time starting out---temp is another thing I watch out for. You can airfry things longer if needed. have over cooked a few things following pkg instructions----but once you get a feel for your airfryer, you know what to do.
