Hi everyone!
I want to make deviled eggs for our Easter meal and happened to remember a suggestion from quite some time ago about dying the boiled, peeled egg in Easter dye or food coloring. I can't find the old post, and don't remember who posted this idea, but wanted to do it this year. As I remember you hard boil (steam, bake whatever method you choose) the eggs, peel them, and then continue to dye them as you would if you had left the shells on. This way, the outside of the hard-boiled egg takes on the color of the dye. Just thought this would be fun and the pastel colors would look pretty on the egg plate, but wasn't sure if I remembered this idea the correct way or not. I am worried that the vinegar mixed with the food color will flavor the egg and can't remember if the vinegar was omitted or not.
Thanks for any help you can give!
