Hi All!

Just needing a little help or suggestions. I picked up a lb of pork sausage instead of Italian sausage over the weekend. Don't usually buy it so just wondering what a good recipe to make with it.

TIA

You can brown the sausage just as you would hamburger meat and use it in any hamburger meat recipe. It gives an interesting new taste to your meal.

@cookinfreak , Was it a mistake ? If you meant to buy Italian sausage, you can add red pepper flakes and fennel. If it wasn't a mistake , ignore me, LOL.

When I make meatloaf I like to add some pork sausage to the mix.  About 1/3 lb.  Gives the meatloaf more flavor.

I also mix it with ground beef to spaghetti, lasagna, chili, etc.

Sure thing. I make this for holidays.

6 eggs

2 c milk

3 slices white bread cubed

1 c grated cheese

1 lb sausage, cooked and crumbled

salt n pepper to taste

1 tsp dry mustard

Beat eggs.

Add salt, pepper, dry mustard, milk, bread. Stir.

Add rest of ingredients.

Pour into greased 9x13 pan.

Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Let stand a few minutes before serving.

I have made a half recipe at times.

Reheats great in microwave if you have leftovers!

I use spicy pork sausage and top with hot sauce or Tabasco for extra kick.

Enjoy!

I usually add some chopped red bell pepper and about 1/2 of a chopped red onion. Add some italian breadcrumbs and form into patties then grill like a hamburger.

Thanks for the recipe I think I will try this.  I have some spicy Italian sausage that I was wondering how I should use.    My brother gave it to me.
