@Sooner   FOUND ONE!!:

1/3 cup mayo

1/3 cup chopped celery

1 1/2 tsp Old Bay

1 tsp lemon juice

1 pound shrimp (cooked, peeled, deviened)

Mix all together, chill, serve.

And off I go!

@SahmIam, looks good and simple. If you're a fan of dill, I would add just a tiny bit of that into the mix, too. And for me, always a drop of Tabasco. Ha!

This recipe sounds good @SahmIam, but if I were you I'd cut back on the old bay a little.  I'm a big fan of that spice mix, but that sounds like a lot to me.  Rather than put the old bay in my salad, I think I'd add it to the water that I cook my shrimp in.  Maybe add just a tad to the salad itself.  I don't know -- just my opinion.

@Citrine1  I made it this afternoon exactly as I wrote it and have to tell you, it was OUTSTANDING.

Adding onions or anything else would have ruined it. I know what you mean by the Old Bay amount but it was perfect. : )

Well thank you for letting me know that @SahmIam.  I love shrimp salad and will now give this recipe a try.  I'd have been hesitant if not for your recommendation!!

What could be used in place of celery? I seem like I can't digest it anylonger. And celery seed is just weird to me anymore.

To get the crunch that celery provides you can try water chestnuts, parsnips, carrots.
