Need Recipe for Light, Easy Italian Dessert

I have a few Italian dessert recipes, but I need a "lighter" one that is easy at the same time. Can anyone help?  Smiley Happy

by pre made sponge cake , then drizzle Lemoncello liquor over it . Then mix mascarpone cheese with some  powder sugar to taste  - if you want  litely sweet don't add much powder sugar  . Top with  sliced strawberries  or a few blue berries , just before serving

I have a receipe for fig tart but it takes some time to make

Re: Need Recipe for Light, Easy Italian Dessert

I've never made it, but have had it several times at one of our favorite Italian restaurants, Panne Cotta.

Fyi, when you search that...there are two things under that name, one is a savory dish (greens & bread casserole, also delish!), and the other a dessert.

It's delightfully light, not very sweet, usually topped with some fresh berries and whipped cream. Yummy. I want to say kind of like a pudding/custard, but I'm not even sure if any eggs are used. And I usually don't like custards, but I love this dessert. One of the lightest of Italian desserts I can think of.

Panna Cotta takes a while to set in the fridge - at least 3 hours so leave plenty of time if you decide to make it.

@beach-mom   I saved this recipe because I love lemon and I love cake but I don't think it's "light" so this may not help you. It sure looks good though.

Thanks for your help everyone! @simplyfriends - I love lemon, and Bundt cakes are easy. I'm going with that one!   Smiley Happy

@simplyfriends - Your recipe was a hit! The only thing I changed was I eliminated the candied pieces. I may have added a little more lemon juice.

And I really like that site. I will be checking it from time to time!

There was one tiny piece left at the end of the night.  I am making it for us this weekend.   Smiley Happy
