My turkey tale of woe continued

I appreciate everyone's feedback.   Never again will I leave fresh ANYTHING in the fridge for that long.  I just assumed the sell by date meant it would stay fresh.

In any event......every other dish turned out wonderful and I used the Shady Brook turkey in a turkey casserole.

So....it's all good!

HOpe all of you also had a wonderful holiday!!!!!

I did see your first posting but don't recall - how long did you have turkey in your refrig?

Perhaps bird was mis-handled along its travel from farm to processing plant - to - store to you.  (like left out of cold storage for too log - or - freezer temp not low enough so partial thawing began)

Somehow I don't believe it was your fault.

You mean you still cooked and served it to people?

Could the odor of the thing give you a hint something was wrong.

Did you offer a side dish of Pepto Bismol..............Poor souls.

No, she returned the spoiled turkey and got the other one.
