Re: My Mother-In-Law's Sweet Noodle Kugel

@Toppers  Thanks, this will be something new to try.  It reminds me of rice pudding.

Re: My Mother-In-Law's Sweet Noodle Kugel

This recipe sounds very much like my mothers' kugel.

It is so delicious. It tastes delicious cold also. Have you tried potato kugel? Soooooooo good!

My mother was taught to cook by her mother in law in 1942-43.

Hi @Zhills,

I'm sure that you could freeze it if you want to.

We've usually just eaten it though, without freezing it.

Sometimes I'll just add in a little more of the noodles without it affecting the recipe too much, as I'll still use a large pan for it.

It turns out like a bread pudding with the eggs in it, except that you're using noodles. That's the best way that I can describe it. Smiley Happy

Hi @IMW,

I don't think that I've had any potato kugels...

I've had potato knishes though, and those are really, really good!

I'll have to try making a potato kugel, seeing as I love eating anything made with potatoes so much. Smiley Very Happy

You're welcome, @Kachina624Heart

Yes, it does kind of remind you of a dish like rice pudding or bread pudding to me, or something like that, either of which I really love, too. Smiley Happy

This recipe sounds pretty fantastic! I copied it and will be making it for Thanksgiving. Is this eaten along with other desserts? Since it is sweet, I guess its a good side with other desserts I may have, correct? Thanks!

Hi @ID2,

You can eat it with the meal, or as a dessert if you like--however you would like to serve it. Smiley Happy

Hi @Solar Is My Name,

You're welcome! Smiley Happy

I've been eating kugel since I was young...

It reminds me of bread pudding in a way, only made with noodles. Smiley Happy
