I bought that new cookbook by David and have been pleasantly surprised.  I think I have now cooked eight recipes that we really liked; there was one that was not terrible, but I would not make it again-we just didn't care for the flavors.  I will try the Monte Cristo soon.  If anyone was wondering if the cookbook is a good purchase, I would say yes-highly recommend.
