Ingredients: ~~5 tablespoon milk~~ ~~1 egg~~ ~~1 tablespoon sugar~~ ~~1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon~~ ~~1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract ~~1 tablespoon raisins~~ (cranraisins can be used) ~~5 tablespoons cubed bread (1 slice bread)~~ (2 dinner rolls Hawaiian Bread can be used) Instructions: 1. In your microwave mug, mix together the milk, egg, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until combine. 2. Cut your bread into bite-size pieces. 3. Add the bread and raisins to the mug and press them down so they are submerged within the liquid. Let it sit on counter for a few minutes for the bread to soak up the liquid. 4. Microwave for roughly 1-1/2 minutes. Check after 1 minute and go from there. The timing is based on 1200 watt microwave.

I used Hawaii Bread Dinner Rolls and Cranraisins. You can add a little of your favorite nuts too. Let it sit after microwaving. It is very hot in the middle. Serve with your favorite ice cream or whipped cream. So yummy.

Re: Microwave Bread Pudding in a Mug

Thank you! I'm the only one in our house who likes bread pudding, so I don't usually bother making it just for myself. Thanks to you, I can make myself an individual portion whenever I want. 😀

I found this recipe: Vanilla Sauce Prep Time 5 mins Cook Time 8 mins Total Time 13 mins This simple stovetop vanilla sauce requires only 5 ingredients and less than 10 minutes prep time! Ingredients 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed 1/2 cup heavy cream Pinch of salt 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract vanilla Instructions Combine the butter, white sugar, light brown sugar, heavy cream, and salt in a heavy bottomed pot. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5-8 minutes or until the mixture thickens up and comes to a full boil. Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to slightly cool (stir frequently). Stir in the vanilla. Serve over your favorite breakfast or dessert!
