Meredith's Air Fryer Biscuits

[ Edited ]

This is the recipe she used & the cooking time/temp shown. She made cheese biscuits during the show. There is no cheese listed in the recipe. Not sure how much to use? The Basics Video for making these is on YouTube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVfe4axM55Q&feature=youtu.be

Buttermilk Biscuits
Ingredients:
2-1/3 cups self-rising flour
8 teaspoons (2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons) sugar
½ cup butter (1 stick)
1-1/3 cups buttermilk
1 cup all-purpose flour, for shaping

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and arrange a shelf slightly below the center of the oven. Line a buttered 8” cake pan with parchment paper or a silicone liner.
2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour and sugar. Grate the butter into the flour and stir it in to coat evenly. Gently stir in the buttermilk. The dough should be quite wet.
3. Spread the all-purpose (not self-rising) flour out on a small cookie sheet. With a spoon, scoop evenly sized balls of dough into the flour, making sure they don’t touch each other. With floured hands, coat each dough ball with flour and toss them gently from hand to hand to shake off any excess flour. Place each floured dough ball into the prepared pan, right up next to the other. This will help the biscuits rise up, rather than spreading out. You might need to do the above in batches.
4. Place the cookie sheet on the arranged shelf in the oven. Bake until lightly browned, about 25 minutes. Brush the tops of the biscuits with some melted butter and pop back into the oven until nicely browned. Turn the biscuits out onto a plate, and then invert them again so they are right side up. Pull or cut the biscuits apart and serve immediately with some butter and honey if you like.

Air Fryer Cook Temp 380° Cook Time 22 mins.
You would also have to use a 7" pan since an 8" will not fit.

Re: Meredith's Air Fryer Biscuits

Thank you, was searching online for the recipe for the biscuits.  Meredith did mention that she added the cheese, it wasn't in the original recipe though.  So happy you posted this..  Thanks again.

Re: Meredith's Air Fryer Biscuits

Thank you . I've been watching all day and she never gave the time or temp. I even called to ask if she would tell us. So I do appreciate you letting us know. I have the original air fryer and am anxious to try this recipe in it as I have made them numerous times and they are truly delicous.

Re: Meredith's Air Fryer Biscuits

I don't have and didn't order the air fryer...but I can say these are the BEST and EASIEST biscuits I have ever made!

I am not into rolling and cutting so this method is terrific!  They are SO delicious!

I have made them 3x already since she first demo'd them a couple weeks back.

I hope you all love them in your air fryer...but if you don't have one...use your oven to bake.  I don't think you will be disappointed in this recipe!!

Re: Meredith's Air Fryer Biscuits

Her biscuits looked delicious... I certainly going to make a batch.  I found her biscuit making video on youtube.  The hardest part for me will be trying her tip on shredding the butter, I have a weak right arm.  I love a good homemade biscuit... biscuits and gravy my fav.

may good luck be your friend in whatever you do
and may trouble be always a stranger to you

@Sebastion

I haven't had a chance to get a pan yet either.

I just made a "pan" out of HD aluminum foil.
