In some areas I believe it's Burger King that's offering it.

@momtochloe  go here:https://time.com/5562488/burger-king-meatless-burger/

I love beef.  I'd rather have either a hamburger or a filet mignon steak than any kind of sweet meal, etc.

@kitcat51  I enjoyed reading your post.  My daughter always talks about the changes in Colorado in the 6 or so years since she moved there.  So crowded and similar to what you posted.

Everywhere I look here, land is being rezoned from agricultural to residential.

It's all about choice.  I don't want anyone deciding what I can or can't eat and I won't decide for anyone else.  Period.

Also, anyone with estrogen fueled breast cancer should never have soy--my Mom had breast cancer many  many years ago and her oncologist advised her not to have soy (he told me I'd be better off not having soy--and that was years before I got cancer).

Please--anyone with estrogen fueled cancer---ask your oncologist if you should avoid soy!!!!!!

God bless!!

@Gracies Mom

Everyone should do what they feel comfortable with but...

soy=cancer has been ‘debunked’ for many, many years.

In fact soy isoflavones helps prevent/reverse breast cancer.

If one is to work w/ their doctors/oncologists regarding nutrition,

the logical decision would to be remove animal products/byproducts,

dramatically reduce fat intake, completely remove dairy and

increase the amount of vegetables w/ cancer-fight properties.

The soy=cancer, IMO, should be taken with a ‘grain of salt’ since

doctors have minimal education in nutrition..most don’t have a clue

what they are talking about.

Some of the healthiest people on the planet eat soy daily and the

Asian population have very, very low rates of breast cancer.

Maybe ask doctors why that is?

The progressive parts of the world realize this...and are actively

making changes to their crops to adjust to Climate Warming.

We’re the fool to think this is a fad...or it will go away.

It won’t.

America is a meat eating country.

It’s slowly killing us & our planet.

Unfortunately the World is slowly adopting the Standard American Diet...

and getting sicker & sicker with us...as well as making their parts of

the world as sick as ours.

It’s hopeful to see parts of the world taking a very active position

to combat climate change...and hopefully getting healthier

as a nice side effect.

But there will be a day you won’t have a choice.

And by then, it could be too late.

Better to be PROactive than REactive.

How many different  types of plants does a person need to consume in one day to get all the essential amino acids and iron present in one 4-oz. serving of red meat from a cow or an egg from a chicken?

You need considerable  nutritional expertise to combine the right plant foods at the right times--- and then  get people to eat enough of it-- for it to do any good for health.  Then  you still need to reach for a pill bottle to supply what's missing.

Of course, maybe our population and environment can rely on pharmaceutical companies and vitamin/mineral supplement companies to provide what we need in pill form.

Oh.........well..........maybe then we can just  build more vitamin factories on farmland, instead of raising livestock.

Have we not learned anything about the complexities of human nutrition and  what is required to insure  adequate  food production for the entire population?

Must have been some sort of magic that has  enabled our life spans to increase by several decades in the past century or two.

Sorry, but I find the "plant-based" religion (aka fanaticism) to be somewhat based on ignorance of any facts outside of what the true believers want to think.
