Now, I do try to keep food costs down, and eat nutritious foods.

Today, however, I asked DH to bring McDees home.  That quarter pounder with cheese was as good as the one I had 20 years ago (that's how long it's been).  Not overcooked, plenty of pickles.

Sometimes it's nice to have someone else do the cooking, even if I do make a good burger myself.

I am now wearing a caftan as I'm convinced I must have gained 10 lbs already!

I get an occasional quarter pounder usually on a hectic day because I'm tired.  I can't hardly choke it down.  It's not particularly tasty and the price for what you get is riduculous.  I go less and less.

One thing about McDonalds is, the flavors just can't be copied.  Maybe some other restaurants' food you can easily duplicate, but not McDonald's.  It has it's own flavor and taste--It's that specific, but also so readily avialble it does no matter which location you go to.  LOL

I definitely follow a nutritional dense diet, but sometimes I enjoy a trip through the drive thru. What's one meal once in awhile?  You gotta live!!

Side note:  I read an article that McDonald's is going to try to make the food more nutritous.  Which I am not sure that's a good idea.  I had thoughts of "NEW COKE" LOL

McDonald's isn't even on our radar anymore but we do get bunless bacon cheeseburgers once in a great while from Culver's, Red Robin, or Five Guys.

Once in a while we get McDonald's.  I used to order the Fish Fillet sandwich, but lately I LOVE the McCrispy Chicken!  YUM

I occasional get a small hamburger and small fries in my way to get my hair done, although, I will look for a Burger King first.  I love a hamburger with lettuce and tomato the most!

I used to work at McDonald's in college.

We had the best manager and training. It got to be fun to see how fast you could make everything.

Everything was very specific. Everything always made exactly the same with squirters you know that squirted just the right amount of mustard or ketchup. Just the right amount of time to make the fries though I think some pull them out too early if there is a rush.

And they let us take home a huge bag of left over egg McMuffins. Without those, we wouldn't have had anything to eat!

Have no desire for anything MacDonald's....no cravings for anything on their menu.

If I'm going to treat myself, might as well enjoy it and not worry about it. Speaking of McDonald's, I treated myself last night to an Oreo cookie McFlurry.
