My grandma and I use to make peanut butter cookies that were in one of  Mary Beth Roe's cookbooks.  I would love to have the recipe to make with my daughter. Is there a way for me to get it?

Thank You,

@Sspaulding   I have both of her cookbooks.  Do you know which one it was in and the name of the recipe?

If she only published two books, i bet it's the peanut butter cookie recipe in the one book. Hahaha

@Sspaulding  Here ya go.

Peanut Butter Cookies

1/2 C sugar

1/2 C brown sugar

1/2 C shortening or margarine, softened

1/2 C crunchy peanut butter

2 Tbsp. milk

Hershey's Kisses

1 tsp vanilla

1 egg

1 3/4 C flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

Cream sugars and shortening, then add peanut butter.  Add remaining ingredients and mix well.  Make into 1 inch balls.  Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.  Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.  While hot, place Hershey's kiss in middle of each cookie, press down and turn slightly.  Let cool.

Happy baking

You can skip the chocolate and when cool frost with a light chocolate buttercream with malt powder in it.  If it needs "a little something else" sprinkle sea salt on top.
