Made the Dulce le Leche ice cream

Made this yesterday and put it in the freezer to harden up. Will serve it today for guests, BUT I forgot to add the vanilla and pinch of salt (from recipe I found here). Do you think that will significantly change the taste? Looked at several other recipes with my machine and they all added vanilla. No one I'm serving it to (including me) has ever tasted this before so we won't really know the difference I'm thinking. Saved the toasted pecans to serve on top in case someone can't have nuts. The really good news is that my friend who is obsessive compulsive about WW points wont' be here to ask me the points!

I forget who posted this recipe, but thanks so much. My "little" taste test was very, very good. I did get the Nestle bottle of the Dulce at a Mexican market but then later found it in Kroger for $4.29. Was $3.99 at the market.
