1C each of chopped onion and celery

4 cloves of garlic - peeled and mashed

6T Crisco

2 1lb cans stewed tomatoes

16oz can tomato sauce

2t salt, 1 1/2t sugar, 2t chili powder

2T Worcestershire sauce and dash of Tabasco

4T cornstarch and 2T cold water

2lbs frozen shelled shrimp -*Thawed*

1C diced green bell pepper

cooked rice

Saute first three in the Crisco til soft.

Stir in the next seven ingredients and bring to a boil.

Lower heat and Simmer X 45 minutes - uncovered.

Mix cornstarch and water together and stir into sauce.

Cook - stirring occasionally til thickens and bubbles.

Stir in shrimp and green pepper and cover pot.

Simmer X 6 minutes.

Serve over the cooked rice with good crusty bread and butter.
