I just saw this recipe on Diners, Drive-ins , and Dives, last night. Same recipe , my husband would have nothing to do with this recipe. And I just will have scale it down and make it for me one day. Minis the wine. Sound so delicious to me !!Smiley Tongue

For a quick inexpensive and lazy days, I would just buy a jar of Ragu alfrado sauce and use a couple of cans of mushrooms, better for my budget and always on hand, and pour over a small batch of bowtie, or spiral macaroni. That way for me it's dinner in about 12 minutes.My husband is finicky. I think it would be wonderful and quick. Especially for summer. This is all hot of course.
