2/3C sugar

2/3t salt

2 2/3T cornstarch

1 1/3T flour

2 2/3C milk

3 egg yolks - slightly beaten

2/3T butter

1 1/3t vanilla

8 or 9" graham cracker crust = bought is o.k.

Mix first four (4) in the top half of a double boiler then stir in milk.

Bring to a boil on Low heat.

Boil for 3 minutes *stirring constantly*

Remove from heat and stir some of the hot mixture into the yolks.

Return to the hot mixture.

Place over water that is boiling in the bottom half of the double boiler.

Cook X 10 minutes stirring occasionally then remove from heat.

Blelnd in the butter.

Let cool thoroughly to room temp.

Blend in vanilla and pour into shell and chill.

You can stir coconut into cooled mixture or top with sliced bananas.

Top with Cool Whip or whipped cream to serve.

This is very rich.
