I swear I read it on these boards. Chicken, ranch dressing, that's all the ingredients that I can remember!
I purchased the ranch dressing...dry packet but now I cannot find the recipe.
Does anyone remember this recipe. I have done a search but came up empty. Thanks

I have this recipe from my SIL's collection. I've never made or eaten this chicken:
3 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
2 qts peanut oil
1 cup buttermilk
5 tbsp minced chives
1 1/2 tsp dried dill weed
2 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp pepper
1/2 cup mayonaise
Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
Whisk buttermilk, 2 tbsp chives, 1/2 tsp dill, vinegar, garlic, and 1/2 tsp salt in bowl. reserve 1/4 cup for later use.
Whisk flour, cornstarch, 3 tbsp chives, 1 tsp dill, garlic powder, 1 1/2 tsp salt, and pepper in big bowl.
Prepare 2 baking sheets with 2 wire racks. Cover half of 1 rack with paper towels.
Coat each piece of chicken in bigger bowl of buttermilk mixture, let excess drip off, and then dredge in flour mixture. Place on rack without paper towels.
Heat oil in 6-qt Dutch oven to reach 350 degrees. Fry half of chicken until reaching 175 degrees. Drain on paper towel-covered side of rack, then move to unlined side. Repeat with rest of chicken.
Whisk mayonnaise into reserved 1/4 cup buttermilk mixture. Serve as a sauce.

This is a delicious recipe for SLOW COOKER CRACK CHICKEN---used for hot chicken sandwiches. SO GOOD! I have never added the bacon. Usually I just mix everything in a skillet if I have cooked chicken leftovers or rotissiere chicken. Hope you like it!
